Standard Broadband’s Fibre To The Home service will soon be available to homes in Halton Hill’s Limehouse community. The project will begin in the the spring of 2021 and take approximately 5 months to complete.   We are excited to expand our Fibre To The Home network into the community!

Standard Broadband has a strong fixed wireless presence in the community providing many homes with service today. Our all-fibre network will provide several service offerings from 50Mbps to 1000Mbps (1Gbps) all with unlimited data included. Delivering service to our customers using a state-of-the-art fibre optic network ensures growth for the future without the need to replace or re-build any part of the network.

How Do We Build Our Fibre Network?

Like any infrastructure project a lot of work and planning goes in to building a Fibre To The Home Network starting from the initial design stage to the activation at the customer’s premises. Many days, weeks and months are spent building the network. The project will be divided into four construction phases and as our project progresses, we will update our construction update page.

Will There Be A Mess During Construction?

During construction our crews will be working in the areas of the Municipal Road Allowance also known as the Municipal Right of Ways (ROW). There will be some disturbance in these areas, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Be assured that our restoration team will return to each area of construction and restore it to the original state. We will re-grade, re-sod/seed and clean up any areas where work has taken place. It is our intention to complete restoration after all work has been completed in each area. All schedules and timelines will be placed on our project construction updates page.

Is There A Connection Fee?

There is a one-time connection fee of $299.99 to have your home connected to the network. This one-time fee includes the following:

  • Onsite Installation
  • Fibre Modem
  • 100M of fibre optic cable from the property line to the house
  • 30M of indoor fibre optic cable from the point of entry to the modem location.

Installation fees will be waived for existing Standard Broadband wireless customers.
