Standard Broadband’s Fibre To The Home service is now  available to over 450 rural homes in Milton’s Nassagaweya community. We will continue to expand our fibre optic network in the area throughout 2023.

Standard Broadband has a strong fixed wireless presence in the community providing many homes with service today. In 2017 we built the first Fibre To The Home network in rural Milton serving the hamlets of Brookville and Moffat. This expansion will leverage our already existing backbone and expand service to over 450 homes in the community. Our all-fibre network will provide minimum speeds of 50Mbps / 10Mbps with additional speeds of up to 1Gbps/1Gbps available in the future and all with unlimited data included. Delivering service to our customers using a state-of-the-art fibre optic network ensures growth for the future without the need to replace or re-build any part of the network.

Wireless has worked well to service the community for many years, but with the growing demands for bandwidth a shared access technology like LTE or Fixed Wireless cannot provide the speeds that today’s user require. Standard Broadband’s all Fibre Optic network will easily meet the demands of today and scale to provide faster service in the future. Our minimum fibre service will provide 4X the speed of our top LTE package today and will do so without any price increase.

There is a one-time connection fee of $299.99 to have your home connected to the network. This one-time fee includes the following:

• Onsite Installation
• Fibre Modem
• 100M of fibre optic cable from the property line to the house
• 30M of indoor fibre optic cable from the point of entry to the modem location.
